The Colonial House Inn

The Harrington Family welcomes you to their sister property, The Colonial House Inn. We are located on Route 3-A, the old colonial road from Boston to Cape Cod, about a mile south of Plymouth Center. We enjoy panoramic views of Plymouth's inner harbor and Long Beach in the distance. A tranquil salt marsh is just across the road. The Inn is open year-round and is a air conditioned non-smoking property. We offer our guests elegant rooms with large beds and private baths. A continental breakfast is offered at our sister property just down the road, The Pilgrim Sands from 7am - 10am.

Sister Property-Pilgrim Sands

The re-creation of Plimoth Plantation is about a mile south, across from the entrance to Plymouth's Long Beach and our sister property, The Pilgrim Sands on Long Beach. On the Plantation grounds you become a time traveler to 17th century Plimoth, including Hobomock's Homesite where you may speak in modern English to local Wampanoags. In our town center you will find the infamous Rock, Pilgrim Hall Museum, the Mayflower II, the Forefathers' Monument and numerous antique homes open to the public.

Activities like whale watch cruises, deep sea fishing, kayaking, tours of Plymouth Harbor and Bay and evening walking lantern & ghost tours will keep you excited and enrich your visit. There is a seasonal daily, narrated trolley tour offered that can be used for transportation as well as a year-round public Gatra Bus route. Check with the Inn for current schedules.

The Harrington Family's premier property, The Pilgrim Sands on Long Beach, offers our guests all of it's amenities. When you tire of touring or antiquing, come sun yourself on our private beach, swim in one of our pools, and relax in our whirlpool. Pilgrim Sands has a private beach that leads to Plymouth Long Beach, the perfect spot for a scenic walk. At The Colonial House Inn, we offer you the charm and quaintness of a small country Inn and the amenities of a beachfront resort.
